Super Mario Bros: The Recreation
A downloadable game
This is the ultimate version of Super Mario Maker with several features, new and old! Using Unity, the Super Mario Bros. framework has been completely recreated from scratch, and has been transformed further into a Super Mario Maker fangame!
Releasing Soon!
The fangame doesn't currently have a release date, but will probably be released at some point in 2023 or 2024! Once the game gets close enough to a good point in development to release an early access version, it will probably be released.

Nostalgia (even tho I have not played it before)
Hey, I have a question. Can I help you at all with testing development versions of the fangame? And I would only publish gameplay videos of development versions with your permission.
Sure! It's actually at a good state in development, and you currently need the open source version to edit levels as I haven't added a level editor system yet. I will give you the test version either today, or tomorrow, and you do have my permission to make levels and make videos since all features on these builds are finished.
I will also give you the open source version since that's how you currently edit the levels.
Alright. When the test version is ready, just send a download link to my email or share it to me via google drive. I'm interested to see what it's like in Unity.
Also, to place tiles, use the tile map editor. To place enemies and other objects, go to the prefabs folder and drag them to the point where you want them to be. The spinning mushroom platforms are currently unfinished.
That's just something you should know before testing
Ok, thanks for telling me. I've actually used a super mario bros level editor before called super mario bros game and builder which I used to make a fangame called Mario's Quest. Here's a video of it.
